It has been an absolute pleasure working with Andrew from GRPHC DSGNR LLC! My nonprofit was planning its anniversary campaign, and we desperately needed a face lift in our marketing materials. Andrew was able to capture the essence of the organization and put it into a beautiful new logo that embraced the work of The Dwelling Place. He designed our gala’s Save The Date, Invitation, and program as well as new marketing materials including our new brochure. Andy [GRPHC DSGNR LLC] is one of a kind! Andy exceeded my expectations with his work and professionalism. He turned our company’s quarterly amateur newsletter into a visually stunning magazine that increased readership and participation from our faculty nationwide. Andy could turn a quick brainstorming session on the direction of each edition of the magazine and turn it into a work of art. He does not settle for ‘okay.’ He sets high standards for his work and always seeks to surpass his previous work. Additionally, Andy hit every publishing deadline and was fantastic at communicating with our faculty in regards to generating interest to submit articles for our magazine. There have only been a few people I have fully trusted to produce a high quality product without constant feedback. Andy is one of the few.
When looking to expand the visibility of our business, creating a website was an obvious course of action. A much tougher choice was finding the right designer to work with who could understand the concept and vision that we had in mind and could use that vision to create a tangible and experiential website. My experience with Andy Kim as a designer was extremely positive to say the least. I had never worked with a designer so I have no one to compare him to, but he was very proficient in being able to take all of my concepts and materialize them, whether it was the Teachables, mobile applications, web or general design work for our department. When I first came in, I felt handicapped because of my limitations in my creativity and technical skills. What I wanted to be accomplished seemed like a daunting and impossible task. However, everything changed when Andy came onboard. We communicated very closely and offered each other ideas while mainly sticking to what we knew we were good at. It was amazing and almost embarrassing (to myself) to see Andy working tirelessly in order to make everything seem possible. These resulting works and designs, personally handcrafted (literally) by Andy, will have a long-lasting impact on our company and everyone who becomes a part of it.
I have worked with Andrew for almost two years now. He is one the most creative, talented designer I have ever worked with. But it’s not his awesome skills and artistic vision that I am impressed with (although, don’t get me wrong; he surprises me every day with his work). It is Andrew’s commitment to service and his relentless pursuit to provide the best to his team. He is not only proactive in his contributions but strategic in the way he approaches each design project. Andrew has the amazing ability to understand the big picture while paying attention the tiniest of details. He can take convoluted and sometimes conflicting direction and somehow make art. In addition, we work in a high pressure environment that sometimes requires long hours and tight deadlines. I have not once heard him complain. In fact, he is always happy, pleasant, and positive. Andrew’s calm demeanor in “crunch time” helps the entire time stay focused. Net-net, Andrew has both all the right design skills and an amazing attitude that helps the entire company thrive.

He is a very creative and talented designer who genuinely cares about his client’s satisfaction. From the moment we contacted Andy, he was very professional and was keen on listening to what we wanted our wedding invitation to look like. He even made some changes and gave us suggestions that actually made our invitations look better! As I prepared to open my own martial arts school, I was unsure about how to create a logo for my first business. While I had a rough sketch of the logo in mind, I did not know where to begin.
